The Law Commission has reportedly decided to invite public suggestions before formulating draft laws. It is a welcome step, provided the views are given due consideration. This assumes all the more importance if the commission spares time to listen to the innumerable grievances listed by various organisations against the incorporation of totally women-centric laws which leave no scope for the aggrieved male, who gets arrested on the spot just on the lodging of a complaint by a woman, whether true or false, even if he is innocent.
