Apropos the editorial Film episode lowers our prestige (October 23) it was amusing that the Bollywood filmmakers needed a hollow threat from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena to rekindle their sense of patriotism so as to pay tribute to the martyrs of our Army in their movies and contribute to its welfare fund. It was repugnant on the part of MNS to threaten film producers to ban their films having actors from Pakistan and then withdraw the threat with nothing gained by it unless there was a clandestine deal too. It was shameful on the part of the Maharashtra chief minister to broker a deal which shows our Army in need of funds by coercive methods. It is a new low in people management.
