In response to S. Nihal Singh’s article, Modi’s silence is his undoing (Aug 15), I would like to state that liberals must make up their mind about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches and silences. For example, they say he didn’t speak on Kashmir. But now that he has stated that Pakistan’s nefarious designs on Kashmir will not be tolerated, people are trashing Mr Modi’s Independence Day speech calling it over the top. Clearly, they’re confused.
