Aakar Patel is right in saying that “our passionate love for our nation does not extend to caring for the nation in other ways” (Nationalism limited to slogans, February 21). In our eagerness to jump into the nationalism debate, we have forgotten that nation-building also demands sacrifice and contribution. We are selfish and take refuge in expressing our anger or complaining about the existing anomalies. We don’t want to invest in our country.
