I welcome Pakistan’s decision to send a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the Pathankot attack for this is the first time that Pakistan has not gone into denial mode with regard to the involvement of Pakistani elements in the attack. While India should extend all necessary cooperation, it should refrain from giving the Pakistani investigators full access to sensitive information and data. We should not forget the lessons of the past and remain on guard.
