The article Assume there’s a can opener, by Jawed Naqvi (Nov. 25), was on expected lines. He blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for stalling peace talks with Pakistan by saying that “there is no way to open the can of peace talks with Mr Modi in charge. Mr Naqvi seems to forget that on the previous two occasions when the can of peace talks was opened we witnessed the Kargil war and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. It is better to keep the can sealed as Pakistan and its military are not serious about peace with India.
