The impasse in Parliament continues and it seems there will be no end to the “politics of disruption” by the Opposition. While the Opposition, led by a resurgent Congress, is indulging in trivial debate for political gain, the NDA government has not reached out to the Opposition with sincerity. This clash of egos is failing the working of the legislature. The GST Bill and other key legislation have suffered in this political tussle. It is high time that leaders cutting across party lines start to give priority to national interest over political interest.
