Ideology of terror

With reference to Indranil Banerjie’s article, Europe’s 9/11 moment (Nov. 16), while I strongly condemn the attacks on Paris, I would request that we not call the attackers “Islamists” as they have nothing to do with Islam. They are Wahhabi terrorists backed mainly by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey. It is ironic that these very supporters of terrorism are sitting with world leaders at the G20 summit without any shame. Terror, as we know it, is specific to a stream of thought and not common to Islam.
