The entire nation of Afghanistan celebrated their cricket team’s win over Kenya in the World Cup qualifier match on October 4. This win has secured Afghanistan a berth in World Cup 2015 and the Afghan team will now receive $1 million as participation fee. The Afghanistan Cricket Board needs to capitalise on this opportunity and groom a stronger, more competitive team. Who knows, Afghanistan might emerge as a major cricketing nation in the near future
