It is commendable that the Congress cooperated with the government in the Rajya Sabha in passing the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Bill. It is in the interest of the working class and will protect them from getting their hard-earned money stuck in housing projects that refuse to take off. The Congress should also cooperate in the passage of the long-pending Goods and Services Tax Bill which is crucial for the country’s economic growth. After all, it was first introduced by the Congress-led UPA.
