Rio has given us two Khel Ratnas in Sakshi Malik and P.V. Sindhu. Definitely Dipa Karmakar too has stolen our hearts with her performance in gymnastics. I do not grudge the rewards and incentives showered on them, but a better way to recognise sporting promise should have been to offer financial security plus the best infrastructure and coaching for them to compete internationally. It is high time our PM takes interest and post distinguished sports people in charge of selections and running sports federations.
