Forms of terror

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the World Sufi Forum emphasised that those who spread terror in the name of religion are anti-religious. The advent of the Modi government has forced people to fear speaking their mind, as the right wing appears more vociferous in pointing out what’s right and what’s wrong. This may be shrugged off as intolerance, but the right wing’s extreme defence of Hindu beliefs shows it to be at odds with the religious views it seeks to defend. It should desist from extreme displays of strength at this will inevitably lead them down the path of tyranny and terror.
