Double standards

The Board of Control for Cricket in India uses different yardsticks for different cricketers. While Sachin Tendulkar was given a ceremonious farewell, Virender Sehwag, who made two triple centuries in Tests and a double century in ODIs, was not even considered for a dignified send-off. It is well known that the BCCI holds the purse strings of international cricket and has often muscled cricketing nations into playing series. Then why couldn’t Sehwag be accorded a befitting farewell
