If an individual is willing to pay the exorbitant membership fee, then why should the clubs dictate how they dress The bill to amend the Karnataka Societies Act, 1960, along the lines of an act passed by the Tamil Nadu Assembly, which removes the restriction of entry based on a dress code, is welcome. Such colonial hangovers against Indian attire have no place in the India of today.
