The editorial, Degrees of political discourse (May 11), rightly states that Narendra Modi was not elected Prime Minister for his academic achievements. It was Mr Modi’s Gujarat development model and his oratory skills that propelled him to power. Aam Aadmi Party supremo and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal is a rabble-rouser and has done it again by raising an issue over Mr Modi’s degrees. Delhi University has already cleared Mr Modi’s BA degree as genuine. This should hopefully silence Mr Kejriwal for now and make him focus on his chief ministerial duties.
