The Twitter campaign against Aamir Khan’s Dangal, calling viewers to boycott the film because of the actor’s comments on intolerance last year, is juvenile to say the least. But at the same time it shows that right-wing tendencies are gaining ground in our country, as even ordinary people have started contemplating boycotting movies, with there even being a website for this purpose. What’s more our country is perfectly all right with another actor’s “rape” joke. But they cannot digest Aamir’s statement of the truth about communal intolerance in India.
