After challenging the imposition of President’s Rule in Arunachal Pradesh in the Supreme Court, the Congress has now requested the President not to revoke Central Rule in the state, alleging it would be tantamount to “perpetuating constitutional illegality”.
The Congress fears that its dissident leaders in the state would form a government with support from the Bharatiya Janata Party. Instead of taking its internal matter to the President, the Congress should put its house in order and let the President do his job. Bobby Kongsong Via email
