After Saritha Nair, the prime accused in the Kerala solar power scam, named Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy among the people she had bribed, the vigilance court’s order directing the vigilance department to file an FIR against Mr Chandy makes perfect sense.
Mr Chandy’s personal assistant, additional personal assistant and security guard were also alleged to have transacted with Nair in his name. It is Mr Chandy’s moral responsibility to resign from the chief ministership until his name is cleared of allegedly having pocketed Rs 1.9 crore in the solar scam. Raman Jacob Cochin
