Your editorial Escalation by Pak is a challenge for India (Oct. 29) is well argued. Pakistan today is diplomatically isolated, internally troubled with a possible military coup any moment and strong Indian initiatives at every inimical step without going for a war will teach that country proper lessons. Come what may India has to be tough and decisive but not lose compassion and kindness towards the Pakistani people. Every possible effort must be made to unite the people of two countries, as terror is the worst form of rebellion.
