The recommendation of a life ban on badminton player Jwala Gutta by the Badminton Association of India is harsh. The captain of Delhi Smashers in the recently held Indian Badminton League, Jwala’s career is in jeopardy because of her role in delaying her team’s match against the Banga Beats in the IBL tournament. The BAI demands a sincere apology from her. It is silly to impose a life ban and lose a player over a petty issue as a delay in a match. It will be wise of Jwala to render an apology to salvage a brilliant career.
