Advani’s U-turn

Senior BJP leader L.K. Advani’s U-turn on the Modi government — days after the party’s old guard issued a strongly-worded letter attacking the BJP top brass following the Bihar debacle and asking for accountability and responsibility to be fixed — was shocking. Mr Advani stated that the Modi government was on the right track to bring about the promised “achche din”. While this political doublespeak will keep the BJP patriarch in the news, it will reduce his credibility in the eyes of his colleagues.
