Reham Khan, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, did not hit him before they divorced in November, a spokesperson said.
Imran Khan’s spokesperson Dr Shireen Mazari deplored the manner in which “malicious conjecturing and rumours” were being given out by the media about the break-up of the party leader’s marriage to Ms Khan.
She said, “One: On behalf of the chairman, I wish to categorically state that all stories of vast monetary settlements made to Reham Khan are absolutely false and lies deliberately being floated to target Reham Khan and Imran Khan. Two: Similarly, on behalf of the chairman I wish to state categorically that stories of Reham Khan hitting Imran Khan are absolute lies — the product of a vicious mind. Three: No PTI leader was privy to either discussions of Khan’s marriage nor of the divorce.”
“It is unfortunate that the media is floating all manner of rumours and conjectures about the divorce of Imran Khan and Reham Khan at a time when both are going through a difficult personal time as are their families, especially their children,” Dr Mazari said.
