Youngsters from Pakistan are being sent to Afghanistan to join ISIS, also known as Daesh, a report by Pakistan’s interior ministry said.
According to details mentioned in the report, the total number of people sent to Afghanistan from Pakistan is between 40 and 50.
“The youngsters are brainwashed and given training in Afghanistan. They are also paid a salary between Rs 30,000 and Rs 50,000 each,” the report stated.
Officials said 40 to 50 young men are acquiring training in Afghanistan after leaving Shamshato refugee camp in Peshawar.
The report also mentioned that several banned outfits were merging with Daesh and several Taliban commanders had joined the terrorist outfits.
Meanwhile, adviser to the chief minister of Sindh on information Maula Bux Chandio on Saturday said the provincial government led by the Pakistan People’s Party welcomes accountability but cannot accept victimisation.
Referring to the arrests of ISIS-affiliated terrorists in Punjab, Mr Chandio said that it was not acceptable that the terrorists are being arrested in Punjab but action is being conducted in Sindh.
Talking to reporters in Hyderabad, he criticised the federal government stating that while the centre may keep a close watch on Sindh it should also hold itself accountable.
Mr Chandio added that the PPP does not have any enmity with the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz).
He said the federal government and its prominent ministers have claimed time and again that there was no presence of Daesh in Pakistan; how was it possible that Daesh militants and affiliates were being arrested in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Mr Chandio remarked that those who have admitted things that others are being forced to admit should also be focused upon under the national action plan otherwise it will raise questions.
