Osama on mind, Apprentice in sight

Hillary Clinton came down heavily on Republican rival Donald Trump on Thursday for questioning her experience during the last presidential debate saying on the day she was monitoring the raid that killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan, he was hosting a reality TV show.

“...In the 1980s, I was working to reform the schools in Arkansas. He was borrowing $14 million from his father to start his businesses. In the 1990s, I went to Beijing. And I said women’s rights are human rights. He insulted a former Miss Universe, Alicia Machado — called her an eating machine,” Ms Clinton said.

“And on the day when I was in the situation room, monitoring the raid that brought Osama bin Laden to justice, he was hosting the Celebrity Apprentice,” she said, referring to her role as the secretary of state in 2011 when the Al Qaeda leader was killed.

“So, I am happy to compare my 30 years of experience,” Ms Clinton said during the third and final presidential debate here.

Ms Clinton said that under her presidency, she will have a trade prosecutor for the first time in history. “And we’re going to enforce those agreements, we’re going to look for businesses to help us by buying American products,” she said.

Mr Trump shot back, saying when Ms Clinton had been in public life for 30 years, “Why the hell didn’t you do it over the last 15-20 years ”

He said Ms Clinton may have more experience than him “but it’s bad experience, because what you’ve done has turned out badly.” “The problem is, you talk, but you don’t get anything done, Hillary.”

Ms Clinton responded by saying since Mr Trump has “raised the 30 years of experience, so let me just talk briefly about that”, before going on to compare her record over the decades to Mr Trump’s, and referring to his hosting the NBC show while she was monitoring the Navy Seals’ raid that killed bin Laden in 2011 in Pakistan’s Abbottabad.
