There were rumours in Pakistan on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan had married for a third time. Media reports said the cricket legend had married a woman belonging to Pakp-attan’s known political and spiritual Maneka family in a simple ceremony few days back in London.
Reports said name of Khan’s new bride was Maryam — sister of Bushra, a daughter-in-law of Maneka family.
Bushra is Imran Khan’s “spiritual guide”. She is the wife of customs officer Kh-awar Farid Maneka. According to sources, the new bride is also divorced and has two children. Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Nae-emul Haq termed the reports regarding Khan’s third marriage as “baseless.” He said that Imran Khan was spending time with his children during his private visit to London.
The spokesperson admitted that Mr Khan had “spiritual link” with Pakpattan’s Maneka family.
He has given all the responsibilities rega-rding his marriage to his sisters, he added. After a while, Imran Khan also refuted the claim. “Rumours ab-out my marriage (are) absolutely baseless.”
