: The French Consulate in Bengaluru has received a threat letter on Thursday warning against French President Francois Hollande visit to India.
Police sources said the letter was posted from Chennai but police has not been able to trace the location yet.
A case was registered on January 14 at the High Grounds police station.
French President Hollande will be the chief guest at this year's Republic Day parade.
The two countries have close cooperation in defence, space, civil-nuclear and security issues along with strong trade and investment and cultural ties.
This will be the fifth time that a French leader will be a chief guest at India's Republic Day celebrations.
