At least two Pakistani soldiers were killed on Tuesday after gunmen fired on their vehicle near Parking Plaza in Karachi’s Saddar area. Police and rescuers arrived at the scene and cordoned off the entire area, however, the attackers managed to escape. “Two army soldiers were fired upon near Parking Plaza. One personnel has been killed while another is critically inju-red who has been shifted to a local hospital in a critical condition,” a police official said. Four men riding two motorcycles targeted the personnel in a Pakistan army’s double cabin van which hit a wall following the attack, officials said.

The personnel have been identified as Abdul Razzaq and Khadim Hussain, it said. In December 2015, masked gunmen had shot dead two military policemen.

Witnesses said bike-riding militants took head-shots of the two military police personnel who were sitting inside their vehicle.
