Sartaj Saifi, son of Mohammed Ikhlaq who was lynched by a mob in Dadri, has now said that he will go to “any extent” to get justice for his father.
Sartaj said, “I have not said that I don’t want any further probe. I only said that at present I do not see the need for a CBI probe.”
“Insaaf ke liye, mujhe kahin tak bhi jaana pada, toh mein jaounga”, Sartaj tweeted from his Twitter handle @sartajsaifi162.
Sartaj, who is a corporal with the Indian Air Force, told a news agency that he had sent his tweet to the chief minister’s office. The government spokesperson had said on Sunday that the family members of the victim said they were satisfied with the action taken in the case so far and with the '45 lakh compensation extended to them.
“They also said that they do not want any further probe in the matter,” the official release issued by the government had said.
