Lopamudra Mishra, daughter-in-law of Orissa industrialist Trailokya Mishra, who recently brought wife swapping charge against her husband Sabyasachi Mishra, on Friday submitted a petition with the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Khordha , seeking compensation, monthly maintenance, and custody of her son from her husband. She sought a compensation of Rs 5 crore, a monthly maintenance of Rs 75,000 and custody of her son. She also asked for security in view of the threat to her life from her husband and in-laws.

“I met the DSWO, Khordha today and submitted all documents. The assistant commissioner of police (ACP), Bhubaneswar, visited me last evening after I had filed the first information report (FIR) at Badagada police station on Thursday with regard to threats by my in-laws to kill me and abduct my son,” said Lopamudra to reporters after submitting her petition. The DSWO, Khordha who received Lopamudra’s petition said that she would be forwarding a DR to the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate Bhubaneswar by tomorrow after filling up necessary details.

Lopamudra, apart from levelling charges of physical and mental torture for dowry against Sabyasachi and his family members, had also alleged that her husband had proposed wife-swapping.

She had lodged a complaint at the Mahila Police Station on May 10 vide Case No 117/2016 alleging to have been subjected to physical and mental torture for dowry by her husband and her in-laws.

In a fresh complaint onThursday, Lopamundra stated that three men entered into her house on Wednesday evening and threatened to kill her apart from warning her to kidnap her son if she went to the police or media against her husband and father-in-law.
