West Bengal: Woman jumps from second floor to escape rape, 3 arrested

The girl had been called by her boyfriend and two of his friends to their place.

: In an attempt to escape rape, a young woman jumped off from the second floor of a building in Howrah district of West Bengal.

She survived the jump and was immediately hospitalised.

The girl had been called by her boyfriend and two of his friends to their place where they tried to rape her after spiking her drink.

She began screaming as they tried to corner her following which she jumped off the building and the neighbours helped her.

All the three men have been arrested.
