A shocking footage has emerged online which shows an airplane crashing while performing a stunt during Atlanta air show in United States.

According to a report in the Time, the unfortunate incident took place during the Good Neighbor Day Open House Airshow when the plane suddenly plummeted to the ground. The footage also focuses on the spectators as they watch the tragic incident.

The video clip starts with an airplane flying in the sky when it suddenly loses control and falls onto the ground as smoke rises in the air.

The pilot of the crashed plane had been identified as Greg Connell from South Carolina. Another pilot who had participated in the airshow and was flying along with Connel said , -"Greg flew underneath me and I had no idea Greg crashed like a second later. So I pulled off and the plan we had. I came back in the show for the next maneuver. We did individual maneuvers at that point, and I went ahead and did my next maneuver, not knowing that Greg had crashed.-"
