An FIR has been registered against a school teacher who allegedly shot dead a monkey.
The incident took place on Tuesday in Sadhiranpur village in Sambhal where a teacher, Musharraf Hussain, shot dead a monkey who was scampering on his terrace.
The monkey died but the villagers reached the police station to lodge a complaint against the teacher who is now absconding. The body of the monkey has been sent for post mortem.
