A 23-year-old Telugu music television anchor was found dead in her PG hostel in Secunderabad in the early hours on Wednesday.
K. Nirosha of the Gemini Music TV committed suicide by hanging herself. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
According to Telugu news channels, Nirosha had briefly worked as reporter with another channel before she took over the role of an anchor with Gemini TV.
Police say that she had made a phone call minutes before she committed suicide. They suspect that matters of the heart could have led Nirosha into taking the extreme step. Nirosha's boyfriend Ritwik is based out of Canada while her parents live in Somala Mandal in Chittoor district.
