In a major breakthrough, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Orissa Crime Branch has seized a pen drive, “jihadi” literature and a number of mobile SIM cards from a house in Bhadrak where the five Simi operatives, who were arrested on Tuesday night, stayed for months before moving to Rourkela.

The incriminating materials were seized during a joint search operation carried out by the STF, National Investigation Agency, Telengana and the Madhya Pradesh police on Friday.

According to Dr Bijay Sharma, the special director-general of crime branch, the house joint teams broke open the Bhadrak house at Nangamahal area in the city in presence of the local magistrate on Friday evening and seized the Hehadi papers, pen drive and SIM cards.

The suspects were using two rooms of their rented building in Bhadrak owned by one Munu Khan.
