RJD MP Taslimuddin has run into trouble after openly criticising the Grand Secular Alliance and demanding resignation of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on the issue of law and order. The RJD MP faced flak from the party and was showcaused on Sunday. Party insiders said that Mr Taslimuddin’s statement put the party leadership, including RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, in a tight spot. The notice which was served to him clearly mentions that he may face disciplinary action if he fails to reply within seven days. “The party has served him notice for his statements and has asked him to reply,” RJD state president Ram Chandra Purbe said on Sunday.

The RJD has also demanded explanation from him for his earlier statements which he had given in September 2015. The notice clearly states that “his statement has benefited the BJP”.

Speaking on the issue Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav said, “high command of the party will decide the fate of such senior leaders who are speaking against the alliance in Bihar. Being senior leaders they should avoid giving such kind of statements”.

However no notice was served to senior RJD leader Raghuvansh Prasad Singh. Mr.Ram Chandra Purbe refused to make any comments when he was asked about party’s stand on Raghuvansh Prasad Singh’s anti – Nitish Kumar statements.

Show cause notice to Taslimuddin was served after Chief Minister Nitish Kumar called a high level meeting in Patna on Saturday and asked Lalu Yadav to take action against Taslimuddin.

On Saturday RJD senior leader and Lok Sabha MP Taslimuddin while demanding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s resignation had said that, “I want the alliance with JD (U) to end immediately as Nitish Kumar is not fit to be a chief minister of the state”.
