A village panchayat in Mainpuri district forced the parents of a rape victim to get her married to the accused or else face social boycott. The parents succumbed to social pressure and the victim was married to the accused Gaurav Yadav in Agra on Friday night. Gaurav Yadav had allegedly abducted a B.Sc first year student on June 21 and had raped her.
