Sadhvi Harsidhi, the newly-appointed priest of Bisada village temple, had announced that she would sprinkle Ganga water and cow urine across the village to “purify” it and remove negative energy that has been engulfing the village after the lynching incident.
Two months ago, one Mohammed Ikhlaq was lynched in the village after rumours that he had eaten and stored beef in his house. The incident led to national outrage and 10 persons were arrested in connection with the incident.
