12 ministers in Rajasthan take oath

NEW DELHI/JAIPUR: The Bhajan Lal Sharma-led BJP government in Rajasthan on Saturday inducted 12 Cabinet ministers and 10 ministers of state. The swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhawan in Jaipur saw the inclusion of former Union minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and senior BJP leader Kirodi Lal Meena among the 12 MLAs sworn in as Cabinet ministers.

Additionally, 10 ministers of state were also appointed during the event, with Governor Kalraj Mishra administering the oath ofoffice to the new ministers. The Rajasthan Cabinet now includes MLAs such as Kirodi Lal Meena, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Madan Dilawar, Gajendra Singh Khimsar, Babulal Kharadi, Jogaram Patel, Suresh Singh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Joraram Kumawat, Hemant Meena, Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary, and Sumit Godara.

Ministers ofState (independent charge) who took the oath include Sanjay Sharma, Gautam Kumar Dak, Jhabar Singh Kharra, Surendra Pal Singh, and Heeralal Nagar.

Ministers of State appointed in the government are Otaram Dewasi, Manju Baghmar, Vijay Singh Choudhary, K.K. Vishnoi, and Jawahar Singh Bedham. Kirodi Lal Meena, a sixtime MLA, represents the Sawai Madhopur assembly seat.

Gajendra Singh Khimsar, a four-time MLA, represents the Lohawat constituency of Jodhpur district. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, an Olympic medallist and former Army officer, is a firsttime MLA and represents the Jhotwara Assembly seat.

Other notable appointments include Madan Dilawar, a six-time legislator and former minister; Suresh Singh Rawat, a three-time MLA from Pushkar; and Avinash Gehlot, a two-time MLA representing the Jaitaran seat ofPali district.

The Assembly elections saw the BJP winning 115 seats.
