The Congress had reshuffled its Madhya Pradesh Unit earlier this month making Lok Sabha MP Mr. Kamal Nath as the chief of the state unit. While Mr. Jyotiraditya Scindia has been made as chief of the campaign committee. Relieving Mr Singh of the charge of Andhra Pradesh will give more time to him to concentrate on the poll bound state of Madhya Pradesh.

Though Dr Joshi is still Incharge of the North eastern states. As Andhra Pradesh will be going to polls along with the Lok Sabha elections the party has made the former Kerala chief minister Mr. Oomen Chandy incharge.
