New Delhi: Narendra Modi-led NDA government is likely to celebrate its third anniversary with the launch of “New India” campaign and celebrations are being organised in 900 cities across the country from May 26 to June 15. The ruling BJP is also planning to organise “MODI (Making of developed India)” festival across the country as part of the Modi government’s third anniversary celebrations.

The Prime Minister himself is likely to launch the anniversary celebrations from Guwahati, Assam, and will visit four other cities as part of the celebrations.

While Cabinet ministers could hold media briefings on the Modi government’s achievements on two days — May 27 and 28 — Union ministers are also expected to host dinner for beneficiaries of key schemes by their respective ministry. The Prime Minister Office, sources said, could dispatch letters by the PM to more than one crore “aam aadmi” about his government’s achievements and also thanking them for their support.

People could also receive SMSes about Modi government’s achievements and thanking them.

The ruling BJP is also planning to host “Making of developing India” programme in the states ruled by the saffron party, with chief ministers and deputy chief ministers leading the celebrations and state unit’s office bearers assisting them.

In nearly 500 cities, events titled “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” could be hosted and the tagline “Mera Desh Badal Raha hai...”, which is often used along with Central government’s achievements, could see “...Bharat Ubhar Raha hai” being added to it. After completion of government’s two year’s in office last year, Mr Modi had tweeted the theme song titled “Mera  Desh Badal Raha Hai, Agey Badh Raha Hai”.

Each Central ministry will also come out with a booklet detailing various achievements in the last three years. Each central minister is likely to visit at least four cities as part of the third anniversary celebrations.

Union ministers as well as BJP leaders would also be highlighting the initiatives by the Central government to benefit farmers, labour, women, youth, dalits as well as underprivileged.

In states where BJP is not strong and where assembly elections are scheduled, the party is likely to hold multi-media exhibitions. A total of 300 such exhibitions will be organised in such states.
