New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah has sought a detailed impartial investigation into the incident of security breach at his Jammu residence last Saturday in which one person, Syeed Murfad Shah, was shot dead by security forces. Mr Abdullah, who is also a Lok Sabha MP from Srinagar, discussed the issue in a meeting with Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday.

Mr Adullah said an impartial probe into the incident was required as different theories are emerging in the media and versions of the family and friends of the deceased young man. Only a thorough investigation can address all speculations, he added.
