Implement quotas in promotions, says Mayawati
She said that the BJP was indulging in cheap politics in the name of dalits, just like the Congress did earlier.
Lucknow: BSP chief Mayawati on Wednesday asked all states to implement reservation in promotion policy following the Supreme Court directives on the issue.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the BSP president alleged, “The Narendra Modi government is behaving like the previous Congress government by indirectly blocking the process of implementation of the policy. This is because of the BJP’s anti-dalit mentality”.
She said that the BJP was indulging in cheap politics in the name of dalits, just like the Congress did earlier.
She added that all the rights of dalits were being taken away by the BJP government and several posts of SC/ST were lying vacant. She said that several thousand employees had been reverted after the reservation in promotion policy was withdrawn in some states.
