Lucknow: The Bahujan Samaj Party released another list of 100 candidates on Friday, including 22 Muslims, for constituencies that will go to polls in the second and third phases.

On Thursday, the BSP had released its first list of 100 candidates. So far, the party has announced tickets to 58 Muslim candidates of total 200 candidates. The list includes candidates for Mainpuri, Etawah, Lucknow, Amroha, Badaun, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farukkhabad, Kannauj, Auraiyya, Unnao, Kanpur and Kanpur Dehat.

Meanwhile, Ms Mayawati has alleged that minorities are facing bias under the Modi government and has cautioned these communities that if they vote for the SP or Congress, it will only help the BJP to come to power. She said, “Muslims should not waste their vote as there is infighting in the SP and the Congress lacks a voter base in UP.”
