No truck with DMDK: Stalin

DMK treasurer M.K.

DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin cleared the air on the alliance issue on Tuesday in saying emphatically that his party is not holding any alliance talks with Vijayakanth, nor is there an invitation to the actor’s party now to join the alliance, which indicates that the DMK-Congress alliance has finally reconciled to face the 2016 Assembly poll battle without DMDK.

The party is expected to move on to seat sharing talks with Congress and other allies already on board.

Referring to his party patriarch having said again on the door being open for Vijayakanth as an ally, Mr Stalin said his father, Mr M. Karunanidhi, was speaking about an earlier invitation to Vijayakanth.

“There is no new invitation to the DMDK and no alliance talks. No talks are being held now and no talks were held in the past,” he said.
