Vyapam scam of Madhya Pradesh is found missing in Madhya Pradesh governor Ram Naresh Yadav’s memoir Meri Kahani, released on August 15.

The miss would have gone unnoticed but for the fact that the governor’s office is dragged in the scandal that created ripples across the nation, witnessing death of at least 40 people — directly or indirectly — linked to it during the course of investigation of the scam by various investigation agencies, including the CBI.

Besides, the role of his eldest son Sailesh Yadav, who died in mysterious circumstances in his Lucknow residence in March last year, has come under scanner in the scam.

The memoir that recounts the veteran Congress leader’s political journey ever since he joined the Congress to becoming governor of MP has, however, dropped hints that his tumultuous stint as the MP governor, which will end on September 8, would be covered in his next book.

The book has devoted hardly 10 pages to throw light on his days in the august office, narrating how Congress president Sonia Gandhi and then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh reposed faith in him by appointing him the governor of MP five years ago.

In his memoir, the governor said he strived hard to maintain high moral standards during his tenure as the governor.

His second son Ajey Yadav is the publisher of the book. The memoir was highly critical of both “Mandal” pursued by former PM V. P. Singh to survive in his office as well as the “Kamandal” (Ram temple construction) issue taken by the BJP to counter “Mandal”, saying that both the issues led to anarchy in the country.
