The Budget Session of the Bihar Assembly on Friday commenced on a stormy note as the Opposition NDA created a ruckus over the rising crime graph and killing of several political leaders belonging to Opposition parties. The members of NDA shouting anti-government slogans trooped into the Well of the House alleging government’s failure in taking action against the criminals which led to adjournment of both the Houses. A senior BJP leader said, “The MLA accused of raping a minor girl has not yet been arrested and people are being killed including political leaders. Jungle Raj has returned in Bihar”. However, later the state government managed to present the budget for 2016-17 without much hindrance. The BJP has also decided to boycott the sitting on Saturday, saying it has been rescheduled because CM Nitish Kumar wants to monitor the Union Budget on Monday. According to leader of Opposition Prem Kumar, “BJP and NDA parties objected to the rescheduling of the session during business advisory meeting but it was ignored.”
He said, the proposal of rescheduling was approved by voice vote which they did not participate into as they were in the well of the house demanding an adjournment motion over law and order situation in the state.
“We have decided to boycott the session; new precedent is being set to felicitate the chief minister to monitor the union budget”. Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav said.
