Days after the 80-hour Pathankot terror siege, the BSF on Thursday intercepted three terrorists, gunning down one, when they were trying to cross the international border in the early hours of Thursday morning using the thick fog as cover in Tash area, north of Bamiyal post in Pathankot.

The terrorists involved in the Pathankot attack were suspected to have entered at the same spot, a vulnerable riverine point not covered by a laser wall. Officials said the BSF team from the 132nd battalion, deployed along the international border, spotted the suspicious movement of at least three infiltrators near the Tash area and, in order to thwart their bid to breach the border, the troops fired.
