Injured CRPF’s sniffer dog to be taken to Chennai for treatment

Axel, the Belgian Shepherd of the CRPF sniffer dog squad, which was seriously injured during disposal of an improvised explosive device (IED) on November 3, will be taken to Chennai for better treatment. The four-year-old sniffer dog had sustained injuries in the upper part of right eye, legs and head.

M.K. Sharma, commandant, 4th battalion, said, “For better treatment as recommended by the chief Vet of Rayagada district, the injured canine will be sent to the Madras Medical College and the process has begun for the same.”
