New Delhi:

With renewed focus on challenge of cross-border terrorism after the Pathankot attacks, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Vikas Swarup on Thursday said, “The ball is in Pakistan's court.”

“The immediate issue is Pakistan's response to the attacks and actionable intelligence that has been provided to it,” said Swarup.

Swarup refused to divulge whether India is mulling about cancellation of Foreign Secretary level talks scheduled for January 15. There were earlier reports that there may be a round of talks between NSAs of both countries before the FS level talks take place.

“There is a lot of time between January 7 and 15. We will wait to see what happens,” said Swarup.

Swarup also said that India has not given any deadline to Pakistan.

Nawaz Sharif spoke to Narendra Modi after the terror attack where he said strict action will be taken against the guilty. Modi on his part has refrained from directly naming Pakistan while condemning the terror attack.
