The ministers and the NDA MPs had been part of a 10-day-long campaign from April 10 to 24 as part of the “Gramoday se Bharatoday” campaign during which they met people in the rural areas. The NDA government has again planned a month-long campaign to showcase the achievements. The ministers and the MPs have also been told to target the Opposition for having stalled the key measures in Parliament.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the parliamentary party meeting of the BJP on Tuesday, mentioned the issue of imposition of Emergency in 1975 during his speech. He said that the younger generation should be apprised on its anniversary on June 26 on how an attempt was made “to crush democracy and who were the people behind it”.
